About

I am a writer interested in romance, fantasy, and science fiction. I also have a particular research interest in the ways Medieval to Early Modern literature reappears in pop culture.

In undergrad at The George Washington University, I completed an honors thesis, Fairies, Fabrics, and Freethinkers: Staging Acts of Female Power for Medieval and Early Modern Courts, examining the role of female political power through the portrayal of fey in literature from the 12th to the 15th century. I also graduated from the English master’s program at Georgetown University and completed my thesis, Medievally Hers: Femme Medievalisms, Fantasy, and Fandom.

I now work in Washington D.C. as a senior contributing writer for Book Riot. In the meantime, I’ve also written for Reactor and sold pottery as a local artist. I aim to connect to popular audiences interested in medievalisms and explore popular fiction of our current era.
